Hello, I am a little boy who only sees right with his heart...
Which doesn't make my parent's daily life any easier. So I'm blind and different (mentally speaking).
This blog was born in french during autumn 2003 and is now progressively being translated in your language.
New articles will therefore appear on a regular basis.
DISCLAIMER
... my apologies to the people who hadn't understood this yet, all articles on this website are created and written by myself (his dad).
Lou is currently unable to do it,, just like he is to this day unable to grasp the concept of a "computer", "internet", or to focus for a long period of time on a conversation. Only time will tell us if we manage to integrate him completely in the world in which he lives.
Therefore all stories, despite relating actual facts, are obviously biased by my interpretation of his behavior. But having known him for over five years, I don't think I'm getting it wrong.
Thank you to the "Roi Baudoin" foundation ( "Parcours hors pistes" ). The new design, hosting and translations were partially made possible by their financial support.
Many thanks to Marco Pappalardo et Laetitia Bouet for the translation.

74. Chronicles of the passing time (3) What a week-end !
While mommy and daddy were indulging themselves at the Grand Hotel in Cabourg (no less ! Well yeah, they had won a trip in a benefit tombola for "Reporters Sans Frontieres" during the Caubourg film festival), I had a total blast.
Brief summary :
on friday morning, I wake up with a shiner on my left eye. Mommy takes care of it (it's a conjunctivitis) and daddy drops me at school. As soon as he leaves, his phone rings : I'm contagious, therefore I can't remain at school. Makes sense. Good thing Grandpa and Grandman are available to take care of me (they were going to for the week-end anyway). I'm having a very good day. I sing "the lawnmower" with Grandma. Variations, impro, backup singing. She follows and gets caught up in the game. Great. Only problem is, while I'm playing undisturbed, my eye is swelling and is starting to look like an egg. When the evening comes, everybody is worried. Luckily Uncle Jef, who's a doctor, comes over to have a look at me. Diagnosis : oedema and antibiotics which Grandma must acquire at 9PM in a pharmacy on duty. In short, I'm calling on everybody's services ! (what would my parents do without them !). When daddy and mommy call me, like every evening when they are away, what do you think I tell them about ? My oowies ? Their absence ? No ! I tell them whatever is going through my mind. That's just like me... This time it's impossible to have a constructive dialog : I'm obsessed with Marie-Anne, cursing, etc...
Moral of the story : everything is ok, I'm in good hands, my parents are not worrying, and they're having a great week-end. I, on the other hand, only have a nightmare : I think one of my classmates is hitting me (he sometimes does). Everything else is pure bliss : the swelling of my eye is already getting better, Grandpa plays with me and throws me in the air, and when I'm reunited with mommy and daddy, on sunday afternoon, what a party ! Especially since they brought me back a new decoy ... a wild boar decoy ! It sounds like burping ! Yeah !
(coming soon on audio : the phone conversation with daddy).
